Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions teams usually ask before getting in touch: how work starts, pricing, platforms, who does the work, and accessibility.

How does an engagement start?

Most engagements start with a CMS & Workflow Assessment: a fixed-scope review, typically 2 to 3 weeks. You receive a map of your current workflow and editorial roles, an architecture and data-flow diagram, prioritized recommendations, and an implementation roadmap with a scoped proposal. Your team keeps the written deliverables and decides whether to proceed.

How does pricing work?

The assessment is a fixed fee, quoted after a short call once we understand the systems and workflows in scope. Any build work that follows is scoped and priced in the proposal, and terms, timing and costs are agreed for each engagement before work starts.

Which CMS platforms do you work with?

We're platform-agnostic: the recommendation follows the assessment, not the other way round. Where it fits your team and budget, we favor modern content architectures and current frameworks over aging setups that are hard to maintain, and we can also extend or integrate the platform you already run.

Who does the work?

The principal leads every engagement and does the architecture and core engineering. For larger scopes we bring in vetted specialists, and you'll know who is on the project before work starts.

Where are you based?

We work with clients across Canada and the United States, remotely.

How long do projects take?

The assessment typically takes 2 to 3 weeks. Build timelines depend on scope and are set out in the scoped proposal before any implementation begins.

How do you handle accessibility?

We plan for accessibility as part of design and delivery: clear structure, meaningful labels, keyboard access, readable contrast, and layouts that adapt to different screens and text sizes. For each project we agree on accessibility targets, such as WCAG 2.2 AA, and how they'll be tested. Automated checks help find issues but don't on their own establish WCAG conformance or ADA compliance.

Can you support a procurement process?

Yes. Our CMS capability statement summarizes delivered work and capabilities for evaluators, and client references are available on request.
